iPad, Mac Tablet dari Apple

Setelah beredar rumor akan adanya mac yang berbentuk tablet, akhirnya Apple mengumumkan produk barunya dalam Event yang di beri nama Apple Lattest Creation Event yang berlangsung tanggal 27 Januari 2010, bertempat di Yerba Buena Center di San Francisco. Walaupun isyu yang beredar produk baru tersebut diberis nama iSlate atau iTablet, tapi nama yang muncul adalah iPad.

iPad bisa disebut sebagai  versi ukuran besar dari iPhone atau iTouch, dengan layar 9.7 inch, LED backlit, IPS Display dan diotaki dengan Custom 1 GHz A4 Processor  dan  multitouch. Untuk koneksi ke internet, iPad akan dilengkapi dengan WIFI yang akan diluncurkan pada Bulan Maret 2010, sedangan versi 3G baru akan diluncurkan pada bulan April 2010.

iPad ini menggunakan OS iPhone 3.2, yang berarti aplikasi pada iPhone dapat juga digunakan pada iPad ini. Berbagai macam aplikasi dapat digunakan pada iPad ini, Seperti Browsing dengan Safari, Mail, Music, Video, Youtube, iTunes, Contact, Note, ebook reader dan masih banyak lagi. Ada 140.000 aplikasi yang dapat di download dari App Store. Bahkan untuk para developer sudah disediakan SDK untuk mengembangkan aplikasi pada iPad ini.
